Discussions of the Chairman of Arab Industrialization with Burundian Ambassador to Cairo

Today, Lieutenant-General "Abdel-Moneim Al-Terras", President of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, and Sheikh "Rashid Malachi Niragira", Ambassador of the State of Burundi in Cairo, discussed ways to support and enhance joint cooperation in the economic and commercial aspects between the two countries, as well as exchanging experiences and training human cadres.

 

These discussions come within the framework of Egypt's keenness to support relations with its brothers in the Nile Basin countries, based on its historical pioneering role in achieving sustainable development in the countries of the African continent.

 

The meeting dealt with ways to strengthen and advance cooperation relations between Egypt and Burundi, and study possible investment and trade partnership opportunities in various fields. They also discussed strengthening cooperation mechanisms in various fields of industry and benefiting from Arab expertise for industrialization in various fields of industry, including defense and civil industries, infrastructure, water technologies and medical supplies. New energy, telecommunications, electronics, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, surveillance cameras, environmentally friendly cars using natural gas and other various fields of industry.

 

In this regard, the "Terrace" stressed the importance of implementing President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to enhance joint cooperation with brothers in the Nile Basin countries and all countries of the African continent in various fields of industrialization, noting that there are joint committees to lay the foundations for cooperation between the two countries and to develop economic and trade cooperation, with the participation of Many Egyptian and Burundian experts.

The "Terrace" indicated that the Arab Industrialization put all its manufacturing and technological capabilities to participate in the various development projects witnessed by the sisterly country of Burundi, referring to the research of training and qualifying human cadres in the State of Burundi through the Authority's Training Academy, where it holds specialized training courses in all fields of industry, management and information systems. and communication technology according to the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

 

For his part, Rashid Malachi Nyiragira explained that the relations between the two countries are fruitful and in continuous progress, praising Egypt's efforts to support economic relations and industrial and commercial cooperation with the Nile Basin countries and the African continent, pointing to the importance of strengthening the Egyptian partnership with Burundi and continuing to transfer expertise and build Burundian capabilities through courses. The grants offered by Egypt contribute to building Burundian cadres, in light of Egypt’s great experience, and its keenness to transfer that experience to its brothers in the Nile Basin countries. As well as the role of Egyptian companies in contributing to the development of Burundi.

During his inspection of the Arab Industrialization Products Exhibition, Niragira praised the manufacturing and technical capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the richness and diversity of its defense and civil products, expressing his country's aspiration to enhance cooperation with Arab Industrialization in all different fields of industry.

During his visit to the Academy of the Arab Organization for Industrialization, Rashid Malachi Niragira stressed the importance of training human cadres in the State of Burundi through the Authority's Academy, which enjoys the latest modern digital training systems, intelligent automated management mechanisms, and training on machines programmed according to the standards of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

 

In a related context, the Burundian ambassador in Cairo clarified that the investment vision with Burundi is directed only towards “agriculture”, but this is an incomplete vision, as Burundi is a country with diverse and rich natural resources ready for all kinds of investment, tax exemptions, and the ease of establishing new companies and economic projects in various fields. Burundi wishes to benefit from the Egyptian expertise in these sectors, stressing the importance of intensifying the joint economic and commercial cooperation between Egypt and Burundi.

He also indicated his country's determination to move forward in strengthening the bonds of dialogue and communication between the basin countries in particular and the rest of the African countries in general, stressing that the Nile River is a source of cooperation and development, as a lifeline for all the peoples of the Nile Basin countries
